Econochat Publications

Back in July 1994 the Department of Economics published its first issue of Econochat. In the introduction the main objective was expressed as being to "provide teachers with some additional background and insight into key economic isssues which may be of use in their classroom". Between 1994 and 2004 - thanks mainly to the efforts of Carol Johnston from the Faculty of Economic and Commerce's Teaching and Learning Unit - the Department pubished 22 issues of Econochat.

After a couple of years in the wilderness, Econochat returns with an all new format! We will be seeking to have one issue each year, and our aim is to provide contents that are directly relevant to students undertaking VCE Economics but also of more general interest.
